As a keen traveler, there have been a few destinations that have always been on the top of my bucket list. Paris, France has been one of those destinations for years and it’s easy to understand why. With its rich history, culture, and architecture, Paris truly is a city with a timeless appeal. As I finally got the chance to travel to this fascinating city, I knew there were certain things that I simply had to see. In this post, I will be sharing my experiences of visiting three of the most iconic sights in Paris, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Louvre museum.

My first stop in Paris was at the Eiffel Tower. I have to admit, I was not prepared for the sheer size and beauty of the structure. As I first laid my eyes on it, I felt in awe. Despite the long queues, I made sure I didn’t miss out on the chance to climb up to the top of the tower. It was a journey that I will never forget. The panoramic views of the city from the top were simply breathtaking. I also enjoyed watching the sunset from there, it was something I will never forget.

The Notre Dame cathedral was my next stop. After the tragic fire in 2019, it was a relief to see that the building was still standing and being restored. The intricate carvings and the architecture of the cathedral that has stood the test of time were mesmerizing. I also loved the beautiful stained glass windows created by the master craftsman. It was moving to see how a place of worship was able to unite people from all walks of life.

Next on my itinerary was the famous Louvre Museum. The sheer size of the museum can be overwhelming, but I loved every second of my time there. I spent hours immersing myself in French history, culture, and art. I got the chance to see some of the most famous art pieces in the world, such as the Mona Lisa, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the Venus de Milo. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I felt a sense of connection to the art that I had never felt before.

After exploring these three iconic sights, I also got the chance to explore some of the lesser-known parts of Paris. I visited the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, explored the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood, and also went to see the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. These were all places that offered me a glimpse into the real Paris, and I loved every minute of it.

Visiting Paris and experiencing its iconic sights was a dream come true for me. The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Louvre Museum were just a few of the highlights of my trip, and I know that there is so much more to see and explore in this city. What I appreciated most about Paris was that it lived up to all my expectations. From the delicious cuisine, the beautiful architecture, and the rich history and culture, everything was simply enchanting. This was a trip I will never forget, and I cannot wait to go back and explore more of what this city has to offer.
