I had been planning to take a week-long break from work and wanted to explore a new place. So, this year, I chose Budapest, Hungary. It was my first visit to this beautiful city, and I was more than excited to explore its beautiful architecture, natural surroundings, and cultural heritage. In this blog post, I’ll take you through my experience of visiting some of the most popular tourist attractions of Budapest, including the Buda Castle, Hungarian Parliament, and the Széchenyi Thermal Bath.

I started my journey by exploring the historic Buda Castle, located in the castle district of Budapest. The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it was an outstanding example of the architecture of the medieval period. The castle was previously the residence of Hungarian kings, and currently, it serves as a cultural center, consisting of museums, galleries, and other events.

From Buda Castle, I headed towards the Hungarian Parliament, which is one of the largest buildings in Budapest. The building’s architecture and design are impressive, and the view from across the river is mesmerizing. I was fortunate enough to take a guided tour of the parliament, which included seeing the Holy Crown of Hungary, the Hungarian Crown Jewels, and exploring the building’s history and significance.

After the parliament building, it was time to rejuvenate my senses by visiting one of the most popular attractions in Budapest, the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. The bath is located in the City Park of Budapest and was built in the 20th century. The bath consists of 15 indoor pools and 3 large outdoor pools, and some of the pools are fed by hot springs. The bath is an ideal place for relaxation, and I found myself spending several hours there.

On my last day in Budapest, I visited the Fisherman’s Bastion, which is a significant landmark in the city. The bastion is a neo-Gothic structure that offers panoramic views of the city from the Buda side of the river. The bastion also has a series of towers and turrets, which are perfect for photography enthusiasts.

Budapest is a fascinating and captivating city, and it’s a perfect destination for anyone who wishes to explore a new culture. I enjoyed every moment of my trip, and I hope this blog post inspired you to visit this beautiful city soon. The Buda Castle, Hungarian Parliament, and the Széchenyi Thermal Bath were only a few of the sights I visited, but the city has many other attractions to explore. Don’t hesitate to plan your trip to Budapest today and discover the wonders of this magnificent city.
